Marsh House Medical Practice provides primary health care for people living in Billingham, Wolviston, Wynyard and parts of Norton.

Marsh House Medical Practice is a GP training practice.  Qualified doctors (Registrars) work alongside regular GP’s whilst training to become general practitioners themselves.  You will be made aware when an appointment with the registrar is offered and written consent will be sought before and after any video consultation.

The Practice is also a teaching practice and is committed to teaching Medical Students.

Comments are welcome and encouraged and should be made to the Practice Manager or your doctor.

Complaints – while we are committed to providing the best service possible, occasionally due to work pressures the service may not be to your satisfaction.  If you have a complaint please address this in writing to the practice manager.  We will do our utmost to resolve the problem.

Data Protection Act 1998

We maintain the highest level of confidentiality about patient information.  All staff employed by the practice are under a legal obligation not to disclose any information about patients.

It is your right to see the information kept in your medical records.  Should you wish to view your records please make a written request to the Practice Manager.  There may be a small charge for the administration and time involved.

The Secretary of State has the right of access to your medical records.  Your written consent will always be sought before any information may be disclosed.

GP Net Earning (2017-18)

NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised, and the required disclosure is shown below. However it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in this practice in the last full financial year was £117,199 before Tax and National insurance. This is for three full time GPs, two part time GPs and zero locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
